The rush to hand in assignments (before Christmas) worked out very well for most of you. The marks always go up when assignments are handed in. Unfortunately, it you did not hand everything in before Christmas, the onus is on you to talk to me about those assignments if you still want credit for them Otherwise, I am assuming you are taking a zero. We are three weeks away from the final exam.

Schindler's List is a very thought provoking movie. It paints a realistic picture of what happened during the Holocaust. Next week we will be fully concentrated on finishing the portfolio that has been sadly forgotten...

The Black Donnellys novel has many interesting events. You assignment is to write in journal style about those events and your reaction to the author's writing. We will try have all journals done later next week.

All project for Mockingbird are now overdue and will be zero unless you participate in noonhour catch-up classes. We are currently reading Night by Elie Wiesel. It is not a partularly festive book but it is an interesting story and one that needs to be told.

Macbeth is almost over. Thanks for working hard to complete those final projects. We will be reading some poem, essays, and short stories until Christmas. After Christmas we will begin The Black Donnellys.

Alive projects are almost complete and we have moved on to Night of the Twister and The Highwayman. Tomorrow we will read an essay and answer questions.

Final exam for Sgt. John Wilson today. Final projects were due today with the exception of the boys filming. Monday is the last day to hand and students will not receive full marks for late assignments. Monday we continue on with "The Hooch Bird". Students who are willing to work with grade 5 will be out of class.
